With plenty of choice for shopping, bustling markets selling locally made cheeses, calvados and other such delightful regional specialities it makes for the ideal short break. So, whether it’s the History of the WW2 Beaches, Medieval wonders of Bayeux or the world-renowned Mont St Michel, there is accommodation to suit everyone, right across the region:

Hotels des Bains Granville

Built in 1881, this traditional hotel is just 20 yards from the beach, 400 metres from the Saturday open air market and walking distance to the Granville ferry terminal. All the guest rooms at Hotel des Bains are accessible by lift with some rooms having a balcony with a sea view. Local products are served for breakfast. You will find the Granville Casino with the Purple Lounge bar and Terranova restaurant right opposite the hotel.

Mercure Granville

With exceptional views overlooking the heart of the city and closely located to the Casino, Museum Christian Dior and the Prévithal thalassotherapy centre. Grand Hotel Luxembourg Bayeux

This 17th-century mansion converted into a charming hotel features a gastronomic restaurant and outdoor heated pool which is accessible all year round. The hotel is ideally located to access the centre of Bayeux and the Museum of the Bayeux Tapestry. Rooms at the Grand Hôtel are comfortable and well-equipped with modern amenities including satellite TV. The gastronomic restaurant Les 4 Saisons serves traditional French cuisine. The Mouton Blanc Hotel
